Musings From The Monk
Musings from the Monk……. We’ve heard the loud and joyous HOSANNA’S and our hearts were filled with hope and made glad. All too soon, we’ll hear the hellish screams, “CRUCIFY HIM, CRUCIFY HIM,” and our hearts will be tortured and broken. How can one turn so quickly from loving, praising and honoring to hating, rejecting and killing? How can one give up on and turn against The One in which they had placed all of their hope?
Sadly, we do it all the time. We pray, we ask, we beg, and when God says, “Yes” we are filled with love and hope and faith. But when God says, “No” or “Not yet” or even, “Yes” but it’s not the yes we were expecting, we get angry and turn our backs on God, often times losing our faith completely.
We need to wait on God, on God’s time, and God’s glorious wisdom. Because God loves us, God’s timing is perfect. There is always the resurrection, new life, more glorious life, everlasting life, which comes only from God!
Soon we will hear the glorious cries, “He is Risen! He is Risen!” God never fails us. NEVER. Put all of your hope and faith in God. God will never, ever leave or forsake us, no matter what.
Follow in the footsteps of Christ and live an Easter life, a resurrected life full of hope, joy, and unconditional love, even when the cries turn from Hosanna to Crucify. Never forget the miraculous joyous cries of “He is Risen”! |
